Job Description

Position: K-5 private school teacher to join our team. We are located at 7318 Sunshine Grove Rd. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and hard-working.

NATURE AND SCOPE OF ASSIGNMENT

 Education Mentor (Teacher) should continuously operate with integrity, doing what is in the school's best interest. They must develop, adapts, modify, and individualize educational materials, resources, techniques, methods, and strategies to meet the needs of students within the schools' curriculum framework.

  It will be fundamental to provide knowledge and instruction to students while also helping them develop their personalities and skills. Modifies instructional activities as required and carries out a variety of student monitoring and supports activities. Education Mentor (Teacher) must be passionate about the assignment to reach out to students and create a relationship of mutual trust.

 Education Mentor (Teacher) should pay close attention to the students learning style and work with them to reach their full potential. The goal is to help cultivate the students’ interest in education and be their dedicated ally in the entire process of learning and development.

Education Mentor (Teacher) must bring a sophisticated understanding and ability to apply and effective practices for student learning, growth, and development; differentiated instructional strategies; and academic standards and accountability systems. Serves as a general education classroom teacher; classes taught may be single or multi-grade level, subject, skill, or specialty oriented. Performs duties within a team or departmental setting or works independently in a unique teaching specialty. 

Qualifications

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

● Bachelor’s Degree or higher in any subject area. (Required)

● Florida State Teachers Certification. (Desired but not required.

● Three or more years of teaching experience in any grade level classroom setting. Must be able to show an ability to teach in grade levels K-5, which is a multi-subject classroom.

● Special skills, knowledge, or expertise that show you can teach the subject areas are essential. Skills may be demonstrated by any documentation indicating that Education Mentor (Teacher) has skills to be teaching that subject such as past work experience, certifications, programs completed, professional development, Curriculum training, etc.

● Must pass a background screening.

● Must pass quarterly evaluations.

● Solid understanding of teaching best practices.

● Excellent written, verbal communication, and time management skills.

● A creative mindset and a friendly demeanor.

● Must be well organized with excellent leadership abilities.

● Ability to make sound judgments, apply current research and theory knowledge to instructional programs, and utilize multimedia and computer technology effectively.

● Proficient with most mainstream office software and computer skills.

● Ability to plan and implement lessons based on the school objectives and the needs and abilities of students assigned.

● Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with diverse students, peers, and parents.

● Ability to organize and manage the classroom and move throughout the room to monitor students and check assignments with various seating and desk organization, making learning easy, fun, and meaningful.

● Ability to evaluate and understand constructive criticism from administration and peers with a growth mindset.

● Ability to adapt to change.
