Based in Southern California near the Los Angeles International Airport, The Marvin Group consists of Marvin Engineering (MEC), Marvin Test Solutions (MTS) and Marvin Land Systems (MLS). Marvin Engineering designs and produces military Alternate Mission Equipment. Marvin Test Solutions designs and manufactures armament Test Equipment. PURPOSE

The Receptionist will be responsible for supporting safety and security measures as they apply to employees, visitors and company assets. The Receptionist will be responsible for promoting a welcoming, and professional environment to all visitors and employees. This individual will also support a variety of clerical activities and is expected to communicate with professional ease while providing a high level of customer service at all times

 

JOB DUTIES

• Answers telephone and forwards to appropriate personnel

• Greet and direct guests to specific locations

• Create and provide visitor and temporary employee badges

• Document and redistribute messages

• Perform general data entry functions

• Sort and distribute incoming mail/deliveries

• Coordinate concierge requests to appropriate personnel

• Coordinate employee parking shuttle schedule

• Schedule and confirm appointments in event calendars

• Observing and reporting unusual or suspicious behavior or activities

• Other duties as assigned

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• 1 - 3 years of related experience of security and safety procedures pertaining to DOD required.
• 5+ years of receptionist experience is required at this level
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient knowledge of Windows based computer and Microsoft desktop applications (Excel, Word, PP) 
• Able to work independently with little supervision
• Strong skills in organizing and prioritizing
• Professional dress attire
• BSIS is preferred
• Courteous and alert
• Must be available to work overtime and weekends, as required
• Must be able to speak/read/write English
• Must be able to lift 35 lbs
• Bilingual a plus
