Job Description

Position Summary:
The CNC Milling Machinist prepares CNC Milling Machines for production by installing tools, loading programs, setting offsets, and ensuring that parts are machined to exact specifications. Once setup is complete, they may run test parts, verify accuracy, and hand off the machine to operators or continue running it themselves.

• Daily set up CNC machines by installing and aligning tools, fixtures, and materials.
• Troubleshoot and correct setup issues (e.g., alignment, tool wear, surface finish).
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of the work area by removing any debris (chips) in preparation for daily run.
• Load and verify CNC programs (G-code) into the machine controller.
• Perform first-article inspections to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Maintain documentation of setups, tooling lists, and production logs.
• Daily maintenance of all fluids to ensure machine is fully equip for usage.
• Maintain / run assigned job parts as specified by Production Manager and / or Lead Machinist.
• End of day clean-up of machines and work area in preparation for next day usage.
