Job Overview:

The Production Tech Team Lead manages and coordinates the activities of production personnel engaged in packaging beverage products for storage & shipment, including providing leadership, direction and facilitation on multiple high speed production lines.

Shift & Schedule: This is a full time position on B shift: 6:00pm - 6:00am on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays as scheduled is required.

Position Responsibilities

• Seeks to build a strong team engage all employees to contribute and participate.
• Direct and coach production operators in the execution of daily/weekly production schedules for multiple packaging lines.
• Manage resources to safely deliver operational goals while working within operating budget.
• Coordinate resources ensuring safety, quality and productivity while minimizing waste.
• Complete and update all necessary production paperwork and records.
• Ensure equipment remains in working order supporting autonomous maintenance.
• Review and analyze production records to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and contributing towards becoming a lean organization.
• Make recommendations for long term solutions, including procedural changes, productivity improvements, material change, etc.
• Create the basis for continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring that standardized work processes are followed, countermeasures implemented and the area is compliant with housekeeping (5s) and safety requirements.
• Must promote a team environment and develop direct reports through problem solving engagement.
• Drive team engagement with skills and capability development.

Total Rewards

• Pay starting at $30.69 per hour plus a $2.00 shift differential. The employee will move to a higher rate of $32.36 per hour in the quarter after their 6-month anniversary.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in a manufacturing facility food, beverage, pharmaceutical or chemical industry preferred.
• 2 years of experience in a leadership role developing individuals, coaching, mentoring and building a team environment.
• Demonstrated working experience in operations of high-speed production machinery and monitoring of product quality.
