Location: Crossings Cafe, Nationwide Building at The Yard, Grandview, Ohio

Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (with potential for additional hours based on business levels)

Compensation: $15 to $17 per hour

Job Description:

Crossings Cafe, located in the Nationwide Building at The Yard in Grandview, is seeking a friendly and motivated Cafe Attendant/Barista to join our team. This part-time position offers a flexible schedule with no nights or weekends, and additional hours may become available depending on business levels. As a Cafe Attendant/Barista, you will be the face of the cafe, preparing and serving high-quality beverages while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and specialty drinks according to cafe recipes.
• Greet customers warmly, take orders, and provide recommendations as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the cafe counter and seating area.
• Ensure high-quality beverage preparation, presentation, and consistency.
• Operate and clean coffee brewing equipment, espresso machines, and grinders.
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with light food preparation and serving when needed.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and timely orders.
• Maintain inventory and inform management of stock shortages or needs.

Qualifications:

• Previous barista or customer service experience is preferred, but not required.
• Passion for coffee, beverages, and providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well with a team.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
• Must be available to work Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with potential for additional hours depending on business levels.
• No nights or weekends required.
• Ability to operate coffee machines and other cafe equipment safely.
