Engineer, Software Principal Location: Inver Grove Heights, MN Job Description Formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop and modify moderately complex to very complex information systems. Devise and modify code to solve complex problems considering system capacity and limitations, operating time, and desired results. Perform technical reviews of code developed by other personnel. Develop and implement integration strategy that fosters the efficient flow of data and processes across the organization, driving digital transformation and business optimization. Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Design, code, test, debug, document and maintain programs. Design and configure integration flows, connectors, and APIs within the SAP Business Technology Platform Integration Suite, enabling seamless connectivity and real-time data exchange between SAP and non-SAP systems. Implement and manage event-driven architecture using SAP Event Mesh to facilitate the exchange of events and messages across various applications and platforms. Handle phase completion on projects periodically. Assist with activity, status, and progress reports as well as creation of comprehensive test plans, including individual program test plans and system test plans. Assist with the development and preparation of project plans and schedules. Provide technical management for medium to large size projects. Provide input into technology decisions and strategies. Provide work direction, guidance, mentoring and training to less experience developers. Telecommuting available anywhere in the United States.. Annual salary between $141,898 - $195,900. Job Requirements Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field. Must possess 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience with: (a) requirement gathering including defining scope, reviewing functional specifications, and determining timeline estimations; (b) leading, designing, and architecting complex integration solutions using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), API management, and EDI B2Btechnologies; (c) designing and configuring integration flows, patterns, connectors, and APIs within SAP BTP to facilitate real-time data exchange between SAP and non-SAP systems; (d) conducting electronic data interchange (EDI) B2B integration with external partners, including setting up communication protocols, message validation, and business mapping logic; (e) developing B2B interfaces using B2B Add On for X12 EDI: 404, 810, 820, 824, 850, 855, 856, 860, 940, 945, and 997; (f) completing SAP integrations using all of the following: File, ANSI (B2B Add On), SOAP, RFC, JDBC, Rest, IDoc_AAE, JMS, OData, SFTP, SFSF, and X400; (g) monitoring and optimizing the performance of integration solutions to ensure efficient data processing and minimal latency; (h) implementing reverse ETL integrations utilizing the Hightouch platform; (i) designing and developing event-driven architecture patterns using SAP Event Mesh; and experience integrating with the following applications and platforms: Snowflake, MS Dynamics CRM, Fieldglass, Agrian; and ; and (j) utilizing all of the following: S4HANA, AWS Services (AWS Transfer Service and AWS S3), DTS. SolMan, SAP PI/PO, COUPA, Ariba, and Concur. Experience may be gained concurrently.
