As a consultant at ECG, you’ll be an important part of our consulting team, working alongside the top professionals in the industry to come up with solutions that shape healthcare. You will join ECG as a general member of our healthcare consulting pool, where you'll have the opportunity to gain diverse experiences by working across ECG’s four divisions: Health System Performance, Medical Group Optimization, Payer Strategy & Contracting, and Strategy & Enterprise Growth. We are currently hiring a consultant to join our Healthcare Consulting Pool, with previous experience supporting health systems through complex changes across the entire continuum of care. The focus is on delivering high-quality care while leading operational and financial performance. Our team partners with organizations to:

  • Transform care models.
  • Optimize patient access.
  • Improve quality.
  • Navigate the evolving world of digital health.
  • Create seamless transitions between acute and ambulatory services.

 

Your Responsibilities May Include

  • Analyzing and synthesizing data to inform client recommendations.
  • Using financial modeling to conduct in-depth analyses and recommend executable strategies.
  • Drafting project analyses and deliverables.
  • Communicating project progress and seeking input.
  • Developing depth of technical expertise.
  • Working closely with multiple project teams and ECG senior consulting leaders.
  • Taking responsibility for project outcomes.
  • Communicating effectively with management and executive-level client staff.
  • Identifying opportunities to engage clients on future projects.
  • Learning about ECG’s breadth of solutions and identifying those that reflect personal and professional interests.
  • Participating in peer and junior staff knowledge development and career advancement.
  • Demonstrating the ability to excel at consulting while balancing work and personal life.
  • Acting as an ECG ambassador within personal, professional, and alumni networks.

 

Our Expectations of You

  • Passion for the healthcare industry
  • Master’s degree in business administration and/or master’s degree in a health-related field preferred
  • Prior work experience in healthcare consulting and/or hospital administration/operations
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Proven track record of solving complex problems and completing challenging projects
  • Demonstrated diagnostic, analytical, and quantitative skills
  • Track record of strong client service
  • Demonstrated career progression with increasing responsibilities
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills
  • Ability to travel at least 60% of the time, with flexibility to meet client needs

 

Job Locations

  • Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Minneapolis, San Diego, or Washington, DC
  • Hybrid work schedule, with a minimum of two days per week in office when not traveling for a client engagement

The estimated base salary range for this job is $110,000 – $125,000 annually. It represents a good faith estimate of the range that ECG reasonably expects to pay at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to years of experience, special skills, and market changes. This job is eligible to participate in ECG’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects ECG’s pay-for-performance philosophy. The job is also eligible to participate in ECG’s benefit plans, which include medical, dental, and vision coverage; a 401(k) matching program; unlimited PTO; and other wellness programs.
