Senior Analyst

Our client is seeking a Knowledge Analyst who thrives at the intersection of engineering insight, analytical rigor, and real-world business impact. • Location: Chicago, IL — Onsite
• 1 year contract — Potential for extension
• Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $40-45/hour W2
• No Visa Sponsorship Available for this role

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct deep technical and cost analyses to reverse engineer products and services, identifying opportunities for margin improvement and cost reduction
• Evaluate product specifications, materials, and features to compare competitive offerings and inform design and procurement decisions
• Build and maintain detailed product cost models to support engineering, sourcing, and portfolio optimization initiatives
• Collaborate with small, high-impact consulting teams and client stakeholders to translate insights into actionable recommendations
• Contribute to firm-wide knowledge by sharing insights, tools, and best practices across global teams

What Gets You the Job:

• 2+ years of experience in electrical design and manufacturing, including roles in R&D, testing, systems integration, or similar environments
• Strong understanding of PCBA design and manufacturing, including signal integrity, EMC/EMI considerations, and IC functionality
• Hands‑on experience with PCB design tools such as Altium, OrCAD, or Eagle; AutoCAD familiarity is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related technical field with a strong academic record (minimum GPA 3.4)
• Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and in collaborative, fast‑paced environments
