Bookkeeper | Ludington, MI

Salary Range: $50,000 - $71,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments to vendors and collection from customers.
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Process payroll, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Prepare and submit sales tax, payroll tax, and other government filings.
• Monitor and reconcile inventory transactions, supporting manufacturing cost tracking.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in general ledger management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Demonstrated experience with inventory tracking and cost accounting principles in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong working knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and ERP systems.
• Ability to prepare accurate financial statements and assist with month-end/year-end close processes.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in financial record-keeping.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with manufacturing-specific ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Basic understanding of cost accounting principles (e.g., COGS, inventory valuation).
• Familiarity with inventory tracking and reconciliation processes.
• Experience with fixed asset management and depreciation for manufacturing equipment.
