Bookkeeper | Grandville, MI

Salary Range: $51,000 - $72,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable, processing invoices for raw materials, production supplies, and operating expenses.
• Oversee accounts receivable, including invoicing customers for manufactured goods and tracking payments.
• Perform accurate bank and credit card reconciliations on a regular basis.
• Maintain the general ledger, posting journal entries and ensuring proper classification of transactions.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including preparing trial balances.
• Process payroll for all manufacturing and administrative staff.
• Support inventory reconciliation and tracking of cost of goods sold.

Recommended Qualifications

• Experience in bookkeeping, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems commonly used in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, cost accounting, and job costing principles.
• Proven ability to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
• Familiarity with cost accounting principles (e.g., job costing, standard costing)
• Understanding of inventory valuation methods and cycle counting processes
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
