Bookkeeper | Charlotte, MI

Salary Range: $48,000 - $68,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Charlotte seeking Bookkeepers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Record day-to-day financial transactions accurately, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
• Process accounts payable, ensuring timely payment to suppliers and vendors for raw materials and services.
• Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing customers, tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and other financial statements to the general ledger.
• Maintain the general ledger by posting journal entries and ensuring all financial data is organized and up-to-date.
• Assist with payroll processing and associated tax filings for manufacturing personnel.
• Prepare basic financial reports, such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets, for management review.
• Support month-end and year-end close procedures, providing necessary documentation and data.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in general ledger management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Experience with inventory accounting and cost accounting principles specific to manufacturing.
• Demonstrated ability to use ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and standard accounting software.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and month-end closing processes.
• Proven ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in high-volume transaction environments.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) common in manufacturing environments.
• Basic understanding of cost accounting principles (e.g., standard costing, job costing, overhead allocation).
• Familiarity with inventory management processes and their impact on financial records.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting.
