Job Description

Job Summary Performs functions directed towards successfully and efficiently meeting shipping goals for customer orders by providing daily direction, instructions, and training to warehouse personnel and reporting of all warehouse activities to appropriate departments / managers. Department: Warehouse Shift available: 2nd shift (3pm - 11pm) Essential Functions

• Planning and assigning work to meet daily shipping and receiving schedules
• Responsible for ensuring secure loading/unloading of product to prevent damage. Must report and assist in investigation of damages to product or equipment due to warehouse personnel actions.
• Helps maintain safe and clean work environment.
• Responsible for inspecting all incoming and outgoing vehicles before receiving or loading
• Follow established Allergen Control Program Procedures as it applies to shipping, receiving and warehousing
• Responsible for ensuring secure loading/unloading of product to prevent damage. Must report and assist in investigation of damages to product or equipment due to warehouse personnel actions.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of all finished goods in warehouse
• Ensure all lot codes are documented and all paperwork is processed daily
• Follows and enforces guidelines for HAZMAT shipments in accordance to IATA, FAA and DOT.
• Enforces and maintains proper storage and identification for HAZMAT inventory.
• Performs any additional tasks / special projects assigned by the QC manager.

Qualifications

• 4 year college degree preferred and/or 5 years of work experience in related field.
• Food plant experience and knowledge of GMP is required.
• Excellent math skills are required.
