DFS specializes in two main loan products: short-term bridge loans for fix & flip investors and long-term rental loans for landlords building their rental portfolios. DFS is thriving in the current competitive environment and consistently delivers aggressive quarterly growth, with an average origination volume of $70MM per month. We are seeking a detail-oriented Underwriter to join our growing team and contribute to our ongoing success.

Your Impact:
•    Play a key role in driving sound investment decisions that directly impact company profitability and growth.
•    Safeguard DFS against risk by ensuring underwriting accuracy and adherence to company standards.
•    Help maintain DFS’s reputation as an industry leader by supporting high loan quality, efficient closings, and exceptional client outcomes.

In This Role You Will:
•    Analyze single-family residential real estate transactions
•    Assess construction and rehabilitation budgets
•    Prepare detailed financial analyses and investment summaries
•    Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
•    Adapt to changing company strategies and processes
•    Utilize Excel and Word for analysis and reporting
•    Leverage MLS and/or CoStar experience (a plus)

Requirements:
•    Background in single-family residential real estate
•    Experience in real estate finance
•    Construction and rehab knowledge
•    Critical thinking and adaptability in a fast-moving environment
•    Strong Excel and Word skills
•    Excellent verbal and written communication
•    MLS/CoStar experience a plus

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Highly analytical with strong quantitative skills
•    Exceptional attention to detail
•    Focused and self-motivated
•    Demonstrated knowledge of construction and rehabbing
