This role is for an Ultrasound Technician responsible for performing a variety of ultrasound examinations in an inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room setting. The technician will work with a diverse patient population and utilize various ultrasound techniques. The position requires proficiency in various imaging modalities and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities:
- Performing 20-25 ultrasound exams daily.
- Utilizing ultrasound techniques for various body parts (abdominal aorta, appendix, breast, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, pediatric abdomen/pelvis, spleen, 1st-3rd trimester, paracentesis, thoracentesis, bladder, hernia, ovaries, prostate, renal/bladder, uterus, vaginal, breast cyst aspiration, breast ultrasound, superficial masses, testicles/scrotum, thyroid).
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to infection control protocols (isolation precautions).
- Utilizing electronic medical record systems (EPIC).
- Working in a portable work setting.
- Utilizing GE and PACS systems.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum one year of experience as an Ultrasound Technician.
- ARDMS certification.
- BLS certification.
- Proficiency in various ultrasound techniques (as listed in Responsibilities).
- Experience with EPIC.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- ARDMS certification with additional specialties (Doppler studies, lower extremity venous, M-Mode, Upper Extremity Venous).
Special Considerations:
- Call requirement: Yes.
- Shift work: Monday-Tuesday days (7a-7p), Wednesday nights (7p-7a).
- Patient diagnoses include general, breast, and OB cases. Procedures include paracentesis, thoracentesis, breast biopsy, and fine needle aspiration.
Scheduling:
- Set schedule: Monday-Tuesday days (7a-7p), Wednesday nights (7p-7a). No weekend requirement.
