Job Description This person will work with the Client and internal HTC associates to help design the next phase of an exciting new solution HTC is building. This position will help gather information from the client, assisting them in the visualizing screens and solution workflow, while keeping in mind future versions of the solution. This position will then take this level of detail to the HTC developers to build the solution.

UI/UX Designer is a professional responsible for the overall feel and visual appearance of digital products like apps and websites. While often used interchangeably, the role combines two distinct disciplines:
User Experience (UX) , which focuses on the logic and usability of a product, and
User Interface (UI) , which focuses on its aesthetics and interactivity.
- UX (User Experience): The "architectural" side. UX designers conduct user research, create personas, and map out user journeys to ensure a product is functional and solves a specific problem. The feeling and logic of the product (e.g., "Can I find what I need easily?").
- UI (User Interface): The "interior design" side. UI designers focus on visual touchpoints, including typography, color schemes, buttons, and animations, to create a visually appealing and cohesive brand identity. The look and interactivity (e.g., "Is this button clear and nice to tap?").
Core Responsibilities - User Research: Gathering data through interviews and surveys to understand user needs.
- Wireframing & Prototyping: Creating low-fidelity blueprints (wireframes) and high-fidelity interactive models (prototypes) to test designs before development.
- Usability Testing: Observing how real users interact with the design to identify and fix "pain points".
- Visual Design: Developing the final look, including icons, layouts, and interactive elements.
Essential Tools And Skills - Design Software: Proficiency in industry-standard tools like Figma, Adobe XD, and Sketch is essential.
- Soft Skills: Empathy, communication, and collaboration are vital for understanding users and working with developers.
- Coding (Optional but Helpful): While not strictly required, a basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript can help in communicating with engineering teams.

Ability To Work In One Or All Below Systems/platforms/software All-in-One & Collaborative Platforms - Figma: Browser-based, excellent for real-time collaboration, design systems, and prototyping.
- Adobe XD: Part of Creative Cloud, great for interactive prototypes and transitions.
- Sketch: A strong UI design tool for macOS, with extensive plugins.
- InVision: Offers prototyping, collaboration, and design handoff.
Wireframing & Prototyping - Balsamiq: Best for quick, low-fidelity wireframes.
- Axure RP: For complex wireframes and advanced logic.
- Proto.io: For lifelike, interactive prototypes with user testing features.
- Framer: For interactive prototypes, advanced animations, and web design.
- Marvel: Good for beginners and simple clickable prototypes, with testing.
Visual Collaboration & User Flows - Miro: Ideal for mapping user journeys, brainstorming, and remote sessions.
- FlowMapp: Specifically for user flows and sitemaps.
Other Notable Tools - UXPin: Focuses on code-based prototypes and developer-ready workflows.
- Uizard: Turns sketches and text prompts into wireframes quickly.
- Webflow: For visual web design with control over HTML/CSS.
- Zeplin: Bridges the gap between design and development.
- Mobbin: A large library of mobile design patterns.
