What We Do

The Solana Foundation Product team is responsible for working with internal and external teams to build tooling, infrastructure, and scaffolds that help builders create better products across the ecosystem. The product team works full-stack to find solutions to acute problems and find collaboration opportunities to build standards, working groups and provision grants where appropriate.

The Opportunity

Solana Foundation is seeking a highly driven Technical Writer to join our Product team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, committed to quality, and adept in cross-functional communication (internally and externally). You will help the product engineering growth teams manage internal and external knowledge bases as well as write documentation for upcoming product launches. 

This role will function as a technical writer for new product and tool development, engineering updates (e.g. confidential balances) and function as an internal knowledge manager for Solana Foundation workflows. 

To be successful in this role

You will:

• Understand and articulate technical concepts of Solana and its merits

• Create and maintain product guides, sdk documentation and release notes for tools maintained by the product and engineering teams

• Own internal knowledge management projects. Create systems that bridge technical and non-technical gaps between internal organizations

• Collaborate with internal growth, engineering and product teams on internal knowledge management workflows

• Create a new workflow for releasing technical content from Solana Foundation channels on a frequent basis

• Communicate advanced technical topics to technical and non-technical audiences 

You ideally have:

• Previous experience as an engineer or engineering manager

• 2+ years of technical writing or similar experience, preferably in software or hardware engineering

• Experience with version control (Git) and CMS systems

• Exceptional writing and editing skills

• Knowledge of technical SEO for documentation

Bonus points:

• Understanding of AI code review tools

• Blockchain experience

• Knowledge of Solana
