Description:

Perkins Eastman offers paid summer internship positions for students. Our college interns are offered a collaborative and congenial work environment with an opportunity to work on projects as fully integrated members of our design teams participating in learning sessions focusing on various aspects of delivering a success project for our clients. Participants will also enjoy the rich and diverse culture of the firm and the broader community through lectures, project tours and events.

The Communications Intern will assist the team in external and internal communications. The candidate will manage both short- and long-term projects over the duration of the internship period, alternating between collaborative and independent work.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in creating content for various platforms including social media, website, newsletters, press releases, and intranet.
• Help communications team manage media opportunities, including coordination with external partners and stakeholders where needed.
• Monitor and analyze communication metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns.
• Contribute to internal communications to foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Support design teams in ensuring brand consistency across all communications.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in communications and design.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field – with interest or experience in AEC and design.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing trends.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Creative mindset with a keen eye for design.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• No prior work experience required, though prior experience with Cision is a plus.

Compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, location and education and typical salary ranges from $23.00 per hour to $25.00 per hour.
