Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our client’s finance team in St. Charles, IL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various accounting functions, assisting with month-end close processes, preparing financial reports and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Staff Accountant Responsibilities :
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, journal entries and reconciliations
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Review and reconcile bank statements and other accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and payments
  • Coordinate and assist in audits, ensuring timely preparation of requested documentation
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and accounting regulations
  • Assist in maintaining internal controls and improving accounting procedures
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Provide support to senior accounting staff and management as needed
Staff Accountant Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • 1+ years of experience in accounting or a similar role
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and accounting software. Experience with QuickBooks or similar is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality
