Position Overview:
We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Social Media Intern to join the TOCA family. As a Social Media Intern for our soccer leagues business line, you will play a vital role in enhancing our social media presence, engagement with our guests, and promoting the TOCA brand across various platforms. This is a paid internship of up to 15 hours weekly, that offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media management, content creation, and digital marketing within the sports industry. This internship with report directly to our Director of Sales and also work closely with leadership within our TOCA Leagues business line.

Internship Scope & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research to identify local soccer groups, fan clubs, recreational groups, and soccer fans within the target demographic.
  • Develop and execute social media marketing strategies to promote adult soccer leagues to the identified audience.
  • Create engaging content including graphics, videos, and posts tailored to appeal to soccer enthusiasts.
  • Manage social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) by scheduling posts, responding to comments, and engaging with followers.
  • Utilize analytics tools to track the performance of social media campaigns and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate social media efforts with overall marketing initiatives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to inform marketing strategies.
  • Assist in organizing and promoting events, tournaments, and other activities related to adult soccer leagues.
  • Provide regular reports and insights on social media metrics and campaign effectiveness.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative thinking and ability to generate engaging content.
  • Basic graphic design and video editing skills are a plus.
  • Passion for soccer and knowledge of the local soccer community.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and willingness to take on new challenges.
