About the Role

We're looking for an experienced SEO Strategist to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be assigned to a specific vertical and/or a prioritized list of pages that need to rank for defined target keywords. Your core responsibility is to collaborate closely with the editorial team to ensure these pages are structured, optimized, and aligned with SEO best practices to drive measurable improvements in search performance.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with editorial teams to ensure content is optimized for search and aligned with keyword targets.
  • Create and maintain scalable content templates and page structures optimized for SEO.
  • Conduct keyword research to identify missed opportunities and high-impact areas for expansion.
  • Provide clear, actionable recommendations to improve the ranking and visibility of new and existing content.
  • Analyze performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar platforms to inform strategy.
  • Develop and advise on content clusters and internal linking strategies to strengthen topical authority and improve crawlability.
  • Audit existing content to improve SEO performance, focusing on on-page elements like title tags, meta descriptions, headers, and internal linking.
  • Analyze performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar platforms to inform strategy.
  • Stay current with changes in search engine algorithms and adjust tactics accordingly.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in SEO, ideally within publishing, affiliate marketing, or ecommerce environments.
  • Strong understanding of how search engines work and what drives rankings in both short-term and long-term contexts.
  • Proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or comparable alternatives.
  • Solid grasp of on-page SEO fundamentals and off-page best practices.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and turn insights into strategy.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; you'll be working with writers, editors, and strategists to bring SEO initiatives to life.
