A well-established and highly regarded company in Independence is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join our team. Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 + Bonus
Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)

### Key Responsibilities:
- Manage general ledger activities, including month-end close, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Maintain and update accounting records and files.
- Assist with budgeting and financial analysis to support business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with tax policies and oversee tax payments and returns.
- Collaborate with clients to address confidential accounting matters.
- Accurately post transactions and classify records within the general ledger (assets, liabilities, expenses, etc.).
- Conduct month-end and year-end financial closings.
- Prepare financial documents for audits.
- Provide financial guidance and insights to clients via email or phone.
- Stay up to date with accounting policies, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Report to the Accounting Manager and contribute to process improvements.

### What We're Looking For:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and cost accounting.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Organizational Abilities: Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to adapt to changing deadlines and business needs with a proactive approach.
