Senior Staff Accountant

Location: Shafter, CA
Job Type: Direct Hire
Salary Range: $80,000 – $95,000 per year (DOE)

Are you an experienced accounting professional ready to take the next step in your career? Key Staffing is partnering with a confidential, industry-leading grower/packer/shipper of fresh produce to find a Senior Staff Accountant to join their expanding team in Shafter, CA .

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to thrive in a dynamic environment where your expertise will directly contribute to the daily operations and financial success of a company committed to sustainability, innovation, and growth.

What You'll Do:

• Oversee all accounting and reporting functions related to production and daily accounting processes

• Prepare and review financial reports, ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP

• Collaborate with internal departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning

• Analyze and report on key financial metrics to support operational decision-making

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field3+ years of agricultural accounting experience

• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables)

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Valid driver's license and clean DMV record

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of experience in agricultural or farm accounting

• Cost accounting experience

• Familiarity with SQL-based databases and BI tools (e.g., Tableau or equivalent)
