We are working with an expanding Hedge Fund/Asset Management firm that is building out there technology team from scratch. The team is developing application across front, middle and back office and are now looking to bring on a Python developer to join the team of 4. This firm has the recipe to grow a lot, making this a great time to join.
What you bring to the table:
You are an engineer, first and foremost. You can rapidly build a product that will scale. You thrive in a work environment that requires strong problem solving skills and independent self-direction, coupled with an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication. You are a strong communicator, explaining complex technical concepts to designers, support, and other engineers is no problem for you.
A BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or the equivalent is nice to have, but the most important requirement is experience.
You possess strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, programming languages, distributed systems, and information retrieval. And finally, your accomplishments are much more important than your paper credentials.
Basic Requirements:
BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science/Math/Physics/Engineering
At least 5 years of software engineering experience
Strong experience with the Python
Solid understanding of modern database technology
Ability to work independently and as part of a fast moving team
