The reporting location for the position is at the Sierra Nevada Conservancy (SNC or Department) Headquarters Office located in Auburn, CA. Working under general direction, the Senior Accounting Officer (Specialist) independently performs the more difficult accounting duties that require understanding of the entire State Accounting and Financial reporting processes. This position will act as a lead for the payable and receivable accounting transactions for funds administered by the Department; prepare, review and analyze complex financial reports, statements, accounts and records; review expenditures against allotments; including a variety of professional, complex, and analytical tasks to support SNC's payables and reimbursement programs. Overtime during peak periods, such as fiscal year-end, may be required .

In order to be eligible for this position, you must either be transfer-eligible or take and pass the following exam/s:
