Job Description

Senior Accountant for Multi-Family Property Management Company.

Q10 Property Advisors is searching for a Senior Accountant to join a thriving company in North Houston. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for providing support to the accounting department, apartment properties, property supervisors ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with all financial regulations. You will work closely with property managers and the finance team to analyze financial data and provide strategic insights that drive business decisions.

Senior Accountant Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties. 
  • Ensure compliance with all GAAP, tax, regulatory requirements and financial regulations.
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes for the portfolio, including variance analysis and financial modeling.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
  • Provide financial analysis and reports to senior management to aid strategic decision-making.
  • Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff, ensuring professional development and accuracy of work.
  • Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the real estate or multifamily housing industry.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and other financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in major financial software systems and databases (e.g., Yardi, QuickBooks).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively in a dynamic environment. 
  • Other duties and reports as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in accounting, with at least 2 years in the real estate/multifamily housing industry required.
  • Proficiency in major financial software systems and database.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Capable of working collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • ResMan software experience is a plus but not required.


Office is located in North Houston.

Salary: $60,000 - $90,000 annually.
