  • Serve as a dedicated Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams, ensuring adherence to Agile values and principles.
  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Coach teams in Agile best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and self-organization.
  • Remove impediments and shield the team from distractions to maintain focus on sprint goals.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to manage and prioritize the product backlog effectively.
  • Promote Agile methodologies and foster an environment of transparency and open communication.
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics to assess team efficiency and areas for improvement.
  • Facilitate cross-team coordination and collaboration in a scaled Agile environment.
  • Provide guidance on Agile frameworks, including Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe, as applicable.
  • Support the adoption and implementation of Agile tools and practices across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with security and clearance requirements as mandated by the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Secret Clearance (or higher)
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or equivalent certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
  • Experience working in a government or defense contracting environment is a plus.
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Rally, or VersionOne.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and Agile at scale frameworks.
  • Previous experience working with distributed teams.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Scrum Master to join our team supporting a government customer. The Scrum Master will be responsible for facilitating Agile processes, ensuring teams follow Scrum principles, and driving continuous improvement. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to remove impediments, enhance collaboration, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality products.
