Job Description

· Pay Rate: Rate may vary due to local or non-local contracted rates: $85-$90/hr combined Rate of pay. ( Pay packages are a combination of taxable hourly rates, tax free allowances for travel, housing, and meal allowances) ( Rates are subject to change via client need)

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room : Set up equipment, sterilize instruments, and ensure there are adequate supplies 
• Prepare the patient : Wash and disinfect incision sites, position the patient, and monitor their comfort 
• Assist during surgery : Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon, maintain a sterile field, and monitor the patient's vital signs 
• Close the procedure : Assist with closing the wound and applying dressings 
• Care for the patient : Help transport the patient to the recovery room and update their records 
• Maintain the operating room : Clean and restock the operating room after each procedure 

Skills and qualifications Knowledge of medical terminology, Experience with instrumentation, Ability to work well in a team, Ability to think quickly in emergency situations, and Ability to remain calm in difficult situations .
