In this role you will support challenging, mission-critical projects that make a direct impact on the nation’s security and intelligence mission.
Our contract supports more than 12 efforts with varying levels of hardware and software development requirements. Our projects are focused on front end equipment configuration/maintenance, back-end repositories, front end dashboards, as well as everything in between for the full data processing thread. Our teams can range from one to two developers to a team of 12. All of our teams work right alongside our customer to discuss requirements, identify solutions, and choose the way forward for implementation. This position is focused on providing the customer with equipment support (troubleshooting, configuration, prep for shipment, prep for excess) with multiple types of equipment. Equipment can range from receivers, demodulators, and any other RF/SATCOM equipment as needed. Candidate will be responsible for learning, understanding, and help prep equipment prior to shipping to customer field sites. Conducting virtual/remote troubleshooting support with field site engineers will be required: candidate will be responsible for ensuring field site engineers can be led through troubleshooting checks and steps as needed. Candidate will be provided the necessary opportunities to learn hands on with the equipment that they will be supporting: the more the candidate learns and becomes familiar with, the more they can support the equipment that is deployed around the world. Candidate will be expected to help maintain a lab environment for security, cleanliness, and equipment tracking purposes. Travel opportunities may be possible depending on the candidates understanding of the customer mission, equipment that is in use, and specific TDY requirements.
Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the RF Hardware Technician include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Receive, review and triage requests for equipment configuration, troubleshooting, or excess
- Work directly with end users (face to face or remotely) to determine cause of issues encountered
- Provide end users with troubleshooting steps to resolve issues or schedule for replacement equipment to be shipped and inoperable equipment to be returned from the field.
- Work with other team members for any support needed for larger efforts:
- Lab modernization/cleanup
- Tech Refresh of baseline equipment in the field
- Configuration/software updates for fielded equipment to resolve security patches or new equipment requirements
- OJT for equipment architecture, current and future to understand more of capabilities available.
Clearance Required: - Must have active Top-Secret clearance with SCI and poly
Minimum Education: - Associates Degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems Mathematics, or related discipline. Three (3) years of additional hardware experience may be substituted for an associates degree.
Minimum Years of Experience: - Equipment: 5 years
- Three (3) years of experience configuring and managing linux based systems.
Preferred: - Experience with RF/SATCOM equipment
- Signals Analysis experience

The base salary range for this position is $130K to $185K. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
