Insight Global is currently hiring a remote Release Manager for a top financial client in the Des Moines area. The Release Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing software releases across multiple teams and environments. This role ensures that releases are deployed smoothly, on schedule, and with minimal disruption. The ideal candidate will have solid experience with release management processes, strong coordination skills amongst multiple teams, and the ability to work effectively with development, QA, operations, and project management teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, schedule, and oversee the deployment of software releases, patches, and configuration changes.

• Coordinate release activities across multiple teams to ensure readiness and smooth delivery.

• Maintain the release calendar and communicate schedules, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.

• Ensure proper testing, change control, and rollback procedures are followed.

• Collaborate with DevOps and Infrastructure teams to automate and improve release processes.

• Track and report release metrics, including scope changes, deployment success rates and post-release issues.

• Identify and mitigate risks in the release process, ensuring compliance with internal standards.

• Regularly communicate release status and risks to leadership and other interested parties

The hourly pay for this rate is between $40-60/hr depending on experience.

Skills and Requirements

3- 5+ yrs of experience: significant amount of Release Management experience

• Can hit the ground running

FAST life system experience

Strong coordination skills

Working/organizing with 3rd party vendors for release management Build up release management practice from scratch
