Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance & Repair:
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on refrigeration systems and ice machines to maintain optimal performance.
- Conduct troubleshooting independently, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and technical knowledge to resolve issues swiftly.
- Independent Work:
- Manage your own schedule and projects with a high degree of autonomy.
- Plan and execute service calls and maintenance visits independently, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
- Ice Machine Expertise:
- Provide specialized maintenance and repair for ice machines, ensuring consistent performance and adherence to safety standards.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and technological advancements in ice machine operations.
- Customer Service & Communication:
- Build strong relationships with clients through professional, clear, and courteous communication.
- Educate clients on proper usage and maintenance of their equipment to prevent future issues.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as Kensington Mechanical's rigorous safety protocols.
- Ensure that all work environments are safe and that best practices are consistently followed.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and time spent.
- Provide detailed reports to management to assist in strategic planning and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
- Education & Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in refrigeration and HVAC technology is required.
- EPA Section 608 Certification.
- Additional relevant certifications are a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in commercial refrigeration maintenance and repair or HVAC field experience.
- Proven experience working on ice machines and related equipment is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing refrigeration systems, HVAC systems, and ice machines.
- Familiarity with electrical components, compressors, condensers, evaporators, and related equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an independent, can-do attitude.
- Other Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
