We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team. About us:

Behavioral Health Centers of Sarasota (BHCS) is an established mental health practice in the beautiful Sarasota area. We have over 40 years of experience providing medical and therapy services to thousands of satisfied patients, and we are looking for someone to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments to determine the mental health status of patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on the assessment, including prescribing and managing medication.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of patients, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to provide holistic care.
  • Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in psychiatric care and evidence-based practices through ongoing professional development.

Education/Certification Requirements:

  • Active Florida PA-C or ARNP license in good standing
  • Active DEA registration and prescribing authority for psychiatric medications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to individualized, compassionate care.
  • At least 3 years of full-time experience.
