Job Description

Schemmer is looking to hire a PROJECT MANAGER for our GOVERNMENT SECTOR in Sioux Falls, SD to oversee and coordinate project design teams and projects specifically in the government sector. As a member of the Architectural Division, you will be an integral part of our execution of government projects. Your main responsibilities include leading the design of projects for federal governmental clients by an interdisciplinary team to complete projects on time, in accordance with budget while maintaining quality standards.  Additionally, you will meet with current and perspective clients to pursue new projects.  On any day, you’ll lead meetings, lead design efforts, meet with clients, do quality control checks to ensure client satisfaction and conformity to contractual agreements.  Your high degree of project management skills and design makes you a great fit for this position!
ABOUT YOU!
  • You have experience successfully managing federal government projects.  Experience with the Department of Defense or other federal agencies desired.
  • You have a Architecture or Engineering degree from an accredited university or college; licensure in your field is highly desired.
  • You’ll have accumulated 7 + years of experience with progressive levels of responsibility and a variety of project types in your portfolio.
  • You have demonstrated your ability to lead, coordinate and communicate with clients and project team members effectively.
  • You have proven experience maintaining and developing strong client relationships.
  • You have experience with estimating & fee proposals.
  • You are proficient in Revit, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite.
