What you'll be doing:
Assist the Project Manager in the creation and delivery of the monthly owner billing and invoices while adhering to DeAngelis Diamond's accounting standards.
Coordinate and track Certified Payroll Compliance, DBE, and MBE/WBE reporting.
Review and prepare documents required for timely payment of billing and invoices, supporting project financial reviews, and communicating cost overruns to the appropriate functions.
Coordinate all project invoices (cost and revenue) from entry to payment.
Manage subcontractor’s compliance including insurance requirements and licenses.
You will be required to clearly and professionally communicate with various team members including the Project Management Team, Accounting Team, Subcontractors, Owners, Architects, and other Business Partners.
You will be required to meet monthly deadlines.
Working closely with other Project Accountants to assist with balancing workload across many construction projects.
Reconcile Job Cost and Billings across the ERP, Subcontractor Payable, and Project Management Systems.
What you need for this position:
Accounting experience, preferably in a construction environment.
4-year degree preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Passion for construction.
Ability to work independently and meet monthly deadlines.
Flexibility to work in the office or on the job site as needed.
Advanced accounting coursework is preferred but not required.
Detail-oriented, strong analytical skills, and commitment to delivering quality results.
Proficient in MS Office projects with advanced MS Excel knowledge.
Experience with Sage Timberline, AIA Documents (G702/G703) & lien waivers, and knowledge of Florida construction lien law is preferred.
Ability to use technology, especially cloud-based software, to meet goals accurately and efficiently.
Adherence and use of the department's Standard Operating Procedures.
Detail-oriented mindset with a positive "can-do" attitude in a collaborative environment.
