ESTIMATED PAY RANGE

$70,000 - $80,000, DOE

JOB SUMMARY

As a Product Design Engineer in Fargo, ND, you may: develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using Creo, ensuring manufacturability and compliance to standards; design and integrate castings, weldments, forgings, and brackets; conduct design reviews, prototype builds, and safety testing; maintain design documentation, bills of materials, and change management; conduct root-cause, risk, and mitigation analysis, and work collaboratively with suppliers and other Applied partners.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Ag & Biosystems Engineering required
  • Proficient in Creo for 2D drawings and 3D design
  • 2+ years of experience in heavy equipment design; co-ops and internships can be considered experience for this role
  • Strong understanding of casting, forging and weldment processes, GD&T, material selection, and structural design principles
  • Understanding of DFMEA, DFM, DFA, boundary diagram interface analysis, 7-step problem solving and tolerance stack-up analysis
