Job Description
The Patient Care Technician position with the Nursing Resource Pool (NRP) at MD Anderson Cancer Center provides patient care services as assigned by a registered nurse, and directly impacts patient comfort and outcome of care.
The ideal candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent and preferably at least one year of recent experience working in direct patient care. Must be able to work 7am to 7pm and 7am to 3pm including rotating weekends/holidays. Hourly breakdown of salary range:
Minimum $18.27 - Midpoint $22.84 - Maximum $27.40 MD Anderson offers our employees:

Essential Job FunctionsActs as member of a multidisciplinary team that identifies and addresses patient care needs. Assists in completion of activities of daily living, mobilization, admit/discharge and obtaining vital signs. Updates and retrieves patient information. Ensures patient environment is maintained in a clean, safe and orderly manner. Acts as part of an assigned care team.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience Preferred: Experience in an acute care setting as a Nursing Assistant.
Licensure/Certification Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
Other Required: Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
