Caterpillar's Law, Security & Public Policy Division (LSPP) is looking for a Paralegal to join a team of corporate and commercial paralegals. This position will primarily assist in-house attorneys with legal tasks and activities to support and protect the organization, including commercial contracts and corporate governance.
What You Will Do: - Assisting corporate legal attorneys in resolving routine legal issues.
- Conducting legal tasks, such as research and drafting, under the supervision of corporate legal attorneys.
- Maintaining repositories of legal documentation and procedures.
- Collecting law sources for attorneys such as statutes, regulations, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles and legal codes for preparation of legal documents.
What You Have: - Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
- Confidentiality: Knowledge of practices and policies governing disclosure of information about the organization, its business activities, and employees; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
- Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
- Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
- Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
- Document Management: Knowledge of document management; ability to categorize, integrate, update, document and distribute business information in a secure, effective way.
- Legal Analysis: Knowledge of methods and tools used in legal analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from both legal and factual information.
- Legal Function: Knowledge of the major responsibilities, accountabilities, and organization of the legal function or department; ability to provide legal consulting, advice and assistance.

Summary Pay Range:
$71,040.00 - $106,440.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
