ABOUT THE JOB
Family in Embassy Row is looking to hire a Nanny Housekeeper. This is a full-time position that can be live-in or live-out based on the candidate's preference.
THE EMPLOYER
Loving family of 3 with a 9-year-old is looking for a replacement nanny, and to also replace their current housekeeping servicer provider with an all-in-one position. They are looking for an experienced childcare professional who has a nothing is too small attitude.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Childcare
Preparing child for school by helping them with dressing, grooming, packing lunch, and homework and driving them to school, athletic practices/events or appointments as necessary
Engaging the child in fun and educational activities throughout the summer and after school/on weekends as necessary during the school year
Light, child-related food prep
Communicating regularly with parents and reporting any issues or concerns
Housekeeping
Perform routine housekeeping and deep cleaning of the family's residence to maintain a clean and organized home environment
Scheduling and managing seasonal deep cleaning throughout the residence
Maintaining and managing household appliances and equipment
Occasional driving for supplies or household-related errands
Cleaning of vehicles as necessary
Handling laundry on behalf of the child and couple (washing, ironing and organizing clothes)
MUST HAVES
At least 3 years of childcare experience
Housekeeping experience not required, although candidate should be familiar with general housekeeping/laundry elements
Should be comfortable driving in the city (vehicle provided by principal)
Basic food preparation skills
Knowledge of household technology
Extra consideration for candidates who have:
Experience tutoring children in various academic subjects
Spanish speaking a plus!
ABOUT YOU
Friendly and personal demeanor (environment is very family-oriented)
Ability to work without direct supervision
Strong organizational and time management skills - managing personal priorities as well as family/child's schedules
Attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleaning standards
Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal/written English
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
$70 - 80K base salary, depending on experience/flexibility. Weekend coverage is compensated as overtime pay.
