Job Description

A healthcare company specializing in in-home visits to provide patients with convenient, high-quality medical services is seeking dedicated Medical Assistants with prior medical experience to join their team. This role involves traveling to patients’ homes to perform urgent care-style tasks and assisting in telehealth consultations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-home patient visits and record vital signs.
• Perform diagnostic tests, such as blood draws, strep cultures, and flu tests.
• Collect samples such as cultures, viral swabs, and urine samples
• Perform routine medical tasks such as ear examinations, basic wound care, and administering first aid as needed
• Drawing blood (a plus, but not required)
• Assist with telehealth consultations by setting up necessary technology and providing real-time clinical support to healthcare providers.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient interactions and clinical findings.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control standards during in-home visits.
• Provide exceptional patient service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is a must
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in home health or mobile care.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Access to a vehicle to travel around Rockland County and work flexible hours.
