Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Back Office Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, efficient, and capable of multitasking in a busy medical environment. This role involves direct patient care, assisting podiatrists with procedures, and ensuring a well-organized clinical workflow. Responsibilities:

• Prepare exam rooms and assist physicians with podiatric procedures
• Take and record patient vitals, medical history, and chief complaints
• Perform X-rays (if certified) and assist with diagnostic procedures
• Apply and remove bandages, dressings, and orthopedic devices
• Conduct in-office treatments such as nail trimming and callus care under supervision
• Manage and sterilize medical instruments
• Maintain accurate and updated electronic medical records (EMR)
• Educate patients on post-procedure care and treatment plans
• Assist with prescription refills, prior authorizations, and referrals
• Stock and maintain medical supplies in examination rooms
• Follow infection control and OSHA guidelines to ensure a safe environment

Requirements:

• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care practices
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Flexibility to travel between locations as needed
