🎯 What You’ll Do:

Social Media & Content

• Post photos, videos, and updates to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn
• Write clear captions that match Carleton’s straightforward style
• Reply to comments and messages from customers
• Interact with customers, followers, and grow accounts
• Keep a posting schedule/content calendar on track

👥 Internal & Community Involvement

• Highlight employee milestones (birthdays, anniversaries, crew shoutouts)
• Take photos of shop/yard activity for internal newsletters or posts
• Support community events (schools, fairs, charity events)

📣 Advertising Support

• Boost posts and track spend on Facebook/Instagram ads
• Help monitor basic ad performance (reach, clicks)
• Coordinate giveaways or promos (ex: “Share this post to win a hat”)

Photo & Video

• Take pictures and short videos of equipment, deliveries, and events
• Capture real “in the yard” content
• Capture real "on the job" content
• Cover local events (fairs, demo days, open houses) with live posts
• Organize photos and videos so they’re easy to find later

📸 Relevant Skills:

• Basic photography skills (able to frame, focus, and capture clear photos)
• Comfortable shooting short video clips for social media
• Knows how to use a DSLR, mirrorless, or even high-quality smartphone camera
• Able to do light editing (cropping, color adjustments, trimming video)
• A creative eye for showcasing equipment, people, and events

Website & Marketing Support

• Update website photos and banners when promotions change
• Help with basic marketing tasks (flyers, simple graphics, or giveaways)
• Track and organize marketing files
• Update inventory on the website & other subsidiary websites

What We’re Looking For:

• Entry-level candidate with an interest in marketing and social media
• Not afraid to be outside, around equipment, and in the action
• Comfortable with social platforms (posting, reels, stories)
• Good communication and people skills
• Organized and able to follow a schedule
• Basic computer knowledge (Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe Suite)
• A creative eye is helpful, but formal experience isn’t required
