We are looking for a Full-Time Marine Mechanic to help us in delivering award-winning customer service and creating a unique and memorable experience for our customers. This position will assist the Service Manager in ensuring the success of the Marina at our brand new Goodhue Naples Marina! Job Summary: Marine Mechanics will report to the Service Manager and assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Service department. In this position, you will be part of a team that specializes in the maintenance, repair, and detailing of most makes and models of boats. As an Entry Level Marine Mechanic for our company, you gain a vast amount of knowledge and skills by working with some very talented, seasoned Marine Mechanics. This is the perfect job to become a certified Marine Mechanic. Duties/Responsibilities:

• Electrical diagnostics.
• Remove and repair engines, transom or outdrive.
• Disassemble unit and inspect parts for wear.
• Overhaul or replace carburetors, blowers, generators, distributors, starters, pumps, electrical and fuel systems.
• Rebuild parts such as engine cylinder blocks and outdrives.
• Install and repair accessories such as radios and marine electronics.
• Maintain and keep current with all certifications.
• Complete repair work utilizing service scheduler within the established timeframe.
• Maintain internal/external customer satisfaction.
• Maintain internal and external customer satisfaction.
• Attend training and getting certifications with Mercury, Volvo, Mastercraft and Yamaha if needed. (Paid for by Goodhue.)
• Other responsibilities as needed.

• Astute attention to detail.
• Experience and certifications with manufacturers, like Mercury , Volvo, Yamaha, etc.
• Ability to thoroughly examine boats and effectively communicates the nature and extent of damage or malfunction with the service advisor.
• Perform diagnostics and repair of all types of marine engines and transmissions/drives/systems.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills while working both independently and within a team environment.

• Ability to ascend and descend a ladder.

• Ability to lift 70 pounds.

• 2 years experience in repair or service facility or participation and completion of a high school/vocational auto shop program, required.
• Minimum of High School degree or equivalent
• Driver's License, required.
• Boater's License, preferred.
