JOB TITLE: Manufacturing Planner - DEFENSE

LOCATION: Palmdale, CA

PAY RATE: $35-60/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary:

• Develop comprehensive work instructions and supporting documentation for assigned manufacturing areas.

• Apply in-depth knowledge of shop theory, tooling, and manufacturing methods to optimize processes.

• Interpret and advise on engineering, tooling, and production requirements to create efficient, cost-effective instructions.

• Serve as liaison between Engineering, Planning, Tool Design, Tool Shops, and Production to ensure conformance between shop fabrication and planning documentation.

• Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions as needed.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues related to Engineering, Manufacturing, and Order Bills of Materials (EBOM, MBOM, OBOM) .

• Utilize software such as SAP, MS Office, CAPP/SFM, Solumina/iBASEt, Teamcenter, and 3DX for planning and documentation.

Requirements:

• Active Secret Clearance (investigation within the last 5 years or CE enrollment)

• 5+ years of planning or equivalent manufacturing/engineering documentation experience

• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation

• Proficiency in technical writing and documentation development

• Knowledge of fabrication, tooling, manufacturing, and inspection methods for aircraft parts and systems

• Understanding of EBOM, MBOM, and OBOM structure and relationships

• Familiarity with CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, CATIA, Autodesk Inventor) and PLM software (Teamcenter, Windchill, SAP PLM)

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field , or equivalent industry experience (Aerospace, Automotive, or similar)

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Must be willing to work any shift or work schedule

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
