We are seeking a Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a full-time locum tenens opportunity in Mechanicsville, VA. This role requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, working four 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday), with one night or weekend shift per month for both call and weekend coverage.
The provider will focus on inpatient rounding, outpatient clinic management, and call coverage without performing any surgical or procedural interventions. Responsibilities include evaluating and managing cardiovascular patients in both hospital and outpatient settings, collaborating with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals, and ensuring high-quality patient care. The role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and experience in managing cardiovascular conditions.
Qualifications:
License: Virginia State License (or willingness to obtain)
Certification Requirements: Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Additional Certifications: ACLS, BLS
Experience: Prior experience in cardiovascular medicine preferred
