Description Amazon MGM Studios is seeking an experienced and dynamic licensing professional to join the Consumer Products Licensing Team. This individual will be an integral member of a growing department that works across Prime Video and MGM's diverse portfolio of IP (Genre, YA, Films, Anime, Comedy and Film) to ideate, develop and deliver best-in-class licensed merchandise for our customers. The ideal candidate possesses an understanding of, or experience in, Entertainment Licensing, Retail or Consumer Products (including Fashion, Accessories, Collectibles/Toys, Location-based Experiences, Personal Care and Food/Beverage). He/She should be knowledgeable of the licensing industry, with hands-on experience negotiating business terms, pitching to licensees, structuring deal points and agreements and managing relationships with partners. The candidate must be a creative and big thinker with a discerning eye for quality and brand integrity. She/He must also have a desire to innovate and unlock new ways for customers to connect with their favorite IP. Key job responsibilities Key job responsibilities -Deep dive on assigned titles and act as a knowledge base and IP expert for the Consumer Products Licensing team -Manage strategy and execution on assigned titles: lead licensee pitch meetings, negotiate deals and partner with Legal on contract execution. -Develop presentation materials for the Consumer Products team, including title pitch decks and sizzles -Manage work back schedules and product development deadlines against broader marketing and production timelines -Supervise approvals across internal teams and external stakeholders including talent -Actively participate in internal and external meetings including creative kick-offs, franchise team meetings, business reviews and industry tradeshows. -Manage Merch on Demand (print-on-demand) for assigned titles and drive both proactive customer anticipation and reactive customer demand -Communicate Consumer Products initiatives back to key stakeholders including development teams, showrunners, leadership, marketing, Amazon ads, Amazon retail -Prepare/contribute to business reviews and updates for leadership Cross-Functional Collaboration: -Work cross-functionally with partner teams including Creative Development, Studios Marketing, Prime Video Advertising, Franchise Management, Amazon Retail and Advertising to understand priorities and align L&M plans accordingly -Work closely with series and film marketing teams to cross-promote licensed merchandise -Coordinate launch plans with Amazon Retail to optimize selection and marketing drivers -Communicate Consumer Product initiatives back to key stakeholders across the organization Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree - 2-4 years in Consumer Products Licensing (preferably in the entertainment industry) and/or Retail - Project management skills with experience in managing complex, cross-functional initiatives - Proficiency in data analysis and royalty reporting, with experience using relevant tools (Smartsheet, Airtable, Excel, etc.) and Powerpoint - Excellent written and oral communication skills Preferred Qualifications - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels - Adaptable and open to new ways of thinking and non-traditional approaches to licensing - Ability to thrive in a large, fast-paced, dynamic organization - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Demonstrated ability to support senior leadership while also taking ownership of key responsibilities - Ability to balance team-specific goals against broader organizational priorities Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,600/year in our highest geographic market.
