Job Description

Zambezi is seeking a Junior Project Manager t o join our growing team. This person is a champion of our creative process, ensuring seamless execution during the creative development phase of the work. The Project Management team orchestrates across departments, manages timelines, and proactively addresses challenges to ensure work is completed in a timely manner. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, extremely detail-oriented and thrives within a creative environment.

Candidate must be located within the greater Los Angeles area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Leadership & Coordination:

• Serve as the central point of contact for project-related inquiries, connecting team members with the necessary resources and expertise
• Lead the creative development process for specific briefs, fostering collaboration and clear communication among creative, production, strategy, and account teams
• Proactively identify and resolve potential roadblocks, ensuring projects remain on schedule and within scope

Workflow & Timeline Management:

• Partner with Account Executives and Account Supervisors to refine project workflows and adapt timelines to evolving client needs
• Maintain comprehensive project timelines for client and new business initiatives across all media channels

Process & Communication:

• Champion the agency's internal processes to uphold the highest standards of work quality
• Conduct regular status meetings, issue detailed status reports, and participate in client sessions as required
• Organize and facilitate project briefings, internal reviews, and check-ins to maintain team alignment and progress
• Work with production to maintain campaign calendars and up to date status sheets
• Ensure all work coming out of the agency has gone through proper review process such as proofing and routing work through the internal culture review committee 
• Set up and maintain organized file storage structures for clients and projects

Support & Collaboration:

• Provide support to the Project Management team on various tasks and projects as needed
• Collaborate with PM and People teams on resource allocation and raise flags on project progress/needs

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Minimum 1 year of previous project management experience within an advertising or creative agency
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously

• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and effectively work with cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in a Mac environment and Google Workspace is essential
• Familiarity with Smartsheet is highly desirable

The salary range for this po sition is $60-70K. Ex actly where a prospective employee will be paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, the candidate’s depth of experience and qualifications in relation to the job description and the actual job duties of the role. In addition to salary, we also offer comprehensive benefits (covering 100% medical, dental, vision and offer open PTO, and more). The range above is for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however we are often open to a wide variety of profiles to find the right candidate for Zambezi.
