Title: ERP Configuration Specialist Business Unit: Medeco Security Locks Location: Salem, VA (on-site) Department: New Product Development Schedule: Full-time / 1st shift Job Class: Hourly / Non-Exempt Reports To: Product Development Manager - Mechanical Are you a detail-driven data expert with a passion for clean, accurate ERP systems? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy collaborating across departments to drive product excellence? If so, we’d love to meet you! We’re looking for an ERP Configuration Specialist to join our team and play a key role in managing and maintaining ERP product data in a JD Edwards environment. This position is critical to ensuring our systems support efficient, high-quality product development and manufacturing processes. What You’ll Do:

  • Upload and maintain ERP product data, including new product setups, BOM creation, and configurator updates.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Operations, and other teams to support new product development and production changes.
  • Build and test product configurations, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business needs.
  • Manage User Defined Code (UDC) tables, Assembly Inclusion Rules (AIRs), and Cross-Segment Editing Rules (CSRs) to maintain data integrity and streamline product setup.
  • Troubleshoot configuration issues and resolve data discrepancies across departments.
  • Support large-scale ERP data transformations and partner with IT to ensure smooth execution.
  • Assist with Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and ensure documentation accuracy.
  • Continuously improve processes to support business goals and maintain high data quality.
What You Bring:
  • High School diploma or equivalent education
  • 3+ years of experience working with ERP systems (JDE preferred), with a strong focus on data management.
  • Proficiency in Excel or similar tools for data manipulation.
  • A solid understanding of manufacturing and production processes.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Bachelors degree in Information System, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
