**41600BR** **Requisition ID:** 41600BR **Business Unit:** CCI **Job Description:** Processes the firm's payroll accurately and on time. Distributes and prepares payments, calculates overtime and shift payments. Monitors and processes employee time sheets by balancing employee hours and any accruals. Maintains payroll records accordingly to fulfil government compliance and reporting requirements. Performs basic to moderately complex payroll record reconciliations, including additions and changes to the payroll system (e.g., changes in salary, benefits, tax withholdings, etc.). Coordinates and processes any irregular payments (e.g., retro-active payments, tuition assistance, etc.). Processes manual paychecks as necessary. Responds to basic to moderately complex payroll inquiries by employees. Escalates more complex payroll inquiries as necessary. Recommends updates and enhancements to the design of the payroll system. Assists with monthly patch testing of payroll system updates, enhancements and bug fixes. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Organizational skills to balance and prioritize work. Good communication skills to interface with company employees or outside vendors. Ability to work in a team environment. Working knowledge of payroll tax rules and benefit impacts. **Background Check and Drug Testing Information:** CDM Smith Inc. and its divisions and subsidiaries (hereafter collectively referred to as "CDM Smith") reserves the right to require background checks including criminal, employment, education, licensure, etc. as well as credit and motor vehicle when applicable for certain positions.
