Job Description
Description We are looking for a bilingual Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team in South Gate, California. This Contract-to-ongoing position offers an exciting opportunity to support HR operations across multiple locations, including warehouses and office environments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and fluent in both Spanish and English, with experience in HR systems and a passion for fostering a productive workplace culture.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes, including background checks, paperwork, and employee orientations.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in HR systems, ensuring compliance with data standards.
- Assist with payroll and timekeeping tasks by collecting, verifying, and entering employee data.
- Coordinate HR meetings, training sessions, and employee engagement events to promote a positive workplace environment.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment regulations by staying informed and maintaining compliance.
- Translate HR policies, procedures, and communications between English and Spanish as needed.
- Provide administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling, filing, and preparing reports.
- Collaborate with team members to address employee relations matters and resolve HR-related issues.
- Conduct site visits to warehouses and other locations, assisting with HR operations as required. Requirements - Fluency in Spanish and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- 1-3 years of experience in HR administration or coordination, preferably in multi-site or warehouse environments.
- Proficiency with HR systems such as Paycom, ADP Workforce Now, or similar platforms.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Familiarity with California labor laws and HR compliance standards is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
- Reliable transportation to travel between office and warehouse locations as needed.
