GPAC is partnered with a well-established steel Manufacturing company. They are searching for al Steel Detailer with experience drafting structural, Micelaeous, and ornamental steel. Our client company fabricates steel for the commercial construction industry with an emphasis in custom and challenging jobs. Due to continued growth our client company needs to hire a motivated talented Structural Steel detailer with strong computer skills with an emphasis on drafting. As a Steel Detailer, you will be responsible for creating structural steel drawings for our fabrication shop and erection crews. Looking for someone who wants to grow with the company as there will be room for advancement.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

Detail shop fabrication drawings for structural beams, columns, stairs, handrails, and trusses.
Ability to be artisitc with Ornamental metals
Generating a bill of materials for shop drawings
Coordinate drawings from design to release for fabrication
Working with project engineers to clarify approval drawings
Review RFI's
Ensuring drawings are in compliance with AISC standards of steel construction
BIM modeling

Preferred Qualifications Experience

* AutoCAD, SDS/2, BIM modeling software
* Proficient in Word, Excel, Bluebeam. FabSuite / Tekla EPM (estimating/production software for structural steel fabricators)
Background in steel construction
Associates degree with a focus in architecture or construction management
