Job Description

We are seeking an Insurance Specialist to join Bone Dry Roofing to work with our clients to assist them in filing insurance claims for damage to their roofs.


Our Insurance Specialist will be responsible for navigating the insurance process on behalf of our clients and ensuring that claims are processed efficiently and accurately. The Insurance Specialist will work closely with our sales and production teams to ensure that roofing repairs are completed in a timely and efficient manner.


Willing to Train! Experience in the construction/roofing industry along with an insurance processing background is a plus.


This position is fulltime on site at our Indianapolis office.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with Bone Dry Sales Representatives and clients to assess damage to their roofs and determine the need to file an insurance claim
  • Generate detailed cost estimates utilizing measurements and photos taken with the purpose of reaching an agreed scope of work with the insurance carrier
  • Assist and advise sales team for each particular claim
  • Advise clients on the insurance claims process and keep them informed
  • Communicate with insurance adjusters on behalf of clients to ensure accurate assessment of damage and appropriate payment for repairs
  • Follow up with insurance companies to ensure timely payment of claims and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise
  • Keep detailed records of all insurance claims and maintain accurate documentation of all communications with clients, insurance companies, and production team
  • Invoice insurance carriers and follow up for payments while keeping company stakeholders up to date
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in insurance regulations and policies that may impact the claims process
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with clients, insurance companies, and other stakeholders
  • Be able to learn and navigate multiple technology platforms to perform daily tasks

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in business, insurance, or related field preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Pass a background check
  • Construction/Roofing Industry knowledge and experience helpful and willing to train.
  • Prior experience in claims processing or adjusting for Construction, Roofing, Property and Casualty industries is a plus.
  • Knowledge of insurance regulations and policies related to roofing damage claims, or the ability to learn quickly
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.

  • $21/hourly pay rate and also eligible for commission plan after fully trained to supplement independently (Commission plan range of .06% to 2% commission on approved supplements + $50 adjuster meeting)
